Looking for 1–2 Contributors | Production-Style AI Infrastructure Project (Pathway-Powered Agentic Gateway)

Hi everyone!

We're a team of 5 students from India and Indonesia working on a long-term production-style AI infrastructure project based on Pathway-Powered Agentic Gateway.

This is not a hackathon, not paid work, and not a college assignment that ends in a week. Our goal is to build something that resembles a real production AI system and publish it as an open-source project.

What we're building

An AI Gateway that sits between users and multiple AI models. It intelligently:

  • Routes requests to different LLMs
  • Manages AI agents
  • Maintains state
  • Monitors execution
  • Handles failures and recovery
  • Provides observability and benchmarking

The focus is on AI infrastructure, not just another chatbot. This aligns with the growing emphasis on orchestration, observability, and reliable multi-agent systems in production AI.

Team

  • 5 members currently
  • Members from India and Indonesia
  • Looking for 1 committed contributor (optional—we'll only add someone who genuinely adds value)

Looking for someone interested in:

  • AI/ML
  • Backend Development
  • DevOps
  • Distributed Systems
  • Docker
  • Open Source

Experience isn't mandatory, but commitment and willingness to learn are.

Timeline

We'll spend the next few weeks learning the required technologies and then begin implementation. The project is expected to run over the next few months.

Goal

  • Build a production-quality project
  • Open-source it on GitHub
  • Learn modern AI infrastructure
  • Collaborate with students from different regions
  • Create something we can continue improving beyond the initial release

If this sounds interesting and you're willing to contribute consistently, send me a DM with:

  • Your background
  • Tech stack you're comfortable with
  • GitHub (if available)
  • Why you'd like to join
