Is using oberservable a must? or can we use different visualization tools such as python or powerbi?

"To make a submission in this challenge, users are required to fork and work directly from the Observable notebook template provided. You will export your Observable notebook to HTML and submit the HTML file for scoring on Zindi."

I would like to team up with anyone else to work to understand the platform, data and the objectives

Kindly chat if you are up for this

Hi, I am reaching out as part of the Adatapation Atlas team hosting this challenge. We do require that notebooks use observable, but hopefully I can provide some tools and documentation to help.

It is actually possible to use python within observable using pyodide (the python-wasm library). There are a lot of caveats to this, especially around visualizations and the use of python packages, that you will need to navigate and problem solve, but it is possible. Here are some good starting points and examples for this:

There is also some useful documentation on observableHQ for python users who are using JavaScript and observable:

If you are familiar with R, you can do something similar (with many of the same caveats) with webR and r-wasm. https://observablehq.com/d/6936259b898a25ce

There is no way to integrate powerbi with observable, but I did find this which may be of interest to you:
